The actual Miracle Associated with Forgiveness

I wanted to generally share this story with each of you. As a student of A Course In Miracles, among my goals is to check out each moment as an opportunity to practice forgiveness.

I’d one particular moments another day. This was a delicate, yet very tangible connection with the ability of forgiveness inside our everyday lives.

I’d just finished my night with the band I work with regularly in Las Vegas. A patron had thrown a $100 chip up onto the stage as a tip.(Nice!) So I went to the casino cage to money in this chip and so the band could split it up.

As I was waiting in line, another man came up and simply walked right facing me. He didn’t look my way, he just acted like I was invisible, and proceeded to stand facing me. So, my first instict is, like, “uh, you are NOT going to cut facing me, pal”, and I began getting all tense red and in the facial skin and all that. And this person, who cut, then was grumbling to himself about how long it was taking in the line!! “Oh, man what’re they doing back there, oh, come ON!!” Geez.

However I remembered the Course and what it says, so I seriously considered looking at this example differently. I believed, acim lessons read online what does it matter if he goes first anyways? Could it be going to kill me if I wait an additional 30 seconds to money in this chip which I was fortunate to have in the first place? You know, maybe this person just gambled away his whole house or something!

So, I ignore it, and I relaxed.

Something amazing happened. Less than 2 seconds next thought, this man turned, looked directly at me, and took his place in line behind me! I was amazed.

This forgiveness stuff really works. Similar to the Course teaches , if you select to see things differently, you WILL.
